Andrea Martinez joins Dunn & Davison, McCrummen Immigration Law Group

January 17, 2011 - The law firm of Dunn & Davison LLC, announces that Andrea Martinez has joined the firm as an associate in the Immigration Law Group.

Andrea's focus is on immigration law and international transactions. She provides assistance in family-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions including consular processing, complex waivers, naturalization applications, removal defense, and federal litigation. As well as assisting non-citizens obtain immigration benefits through their employment in the U.S. or due to their extraordinary abilities.

Andrea is fluent in Spanish and provides special assistance to clients needing assistance in the legal systems of Spanish-speaking countries. She is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to entering private practice, Andrea served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Eric G. Bruggink at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C. She was also a summer law clerk to the U.S. Department of Justice's Arlington Immigration Court. In addition, Andrea spent a year working in Guatemala with the International Justice Mission assisting in the prosecution of child sex offenders. Ms. Martinez is a member of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Andrea's international work goes beyond her day-to-day immigration law assignments. This past holiday season, Andrea and her husband from Honduras, went back to Honduras to distribute donated toys to needy children living near the town dump.

Andrea received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, her B.A, Cross-Cultural Services and her A.S in Broadcasting from John Brown University.
